“Feeling good and giving yourself the freedom to let go is without a doubt the foundation of every song. The evolution of Michelle David & The Gospel Sessions is inspiring, exciting and life-changing .”- Michelle David
The past year and a half has been miraculous for Michelle David. After the release of their album, The Gospel Sessions Vol. 3, a lot happened. Ups and downs. The band was received with jubilation all over Europe and the fan base grew, but Michelle was diagnosed with breast cancer. A big shock for everyone. A lot of support and a positive attitude with both a determined and courageous will ensured a successful recovery. This gave rise to the new keyword for Vol. 4: “Victory!”. Both personally and musically it resulted in a triumphant end result. Influenced by all these events and impressions, this album is the most colorful and diverse work that Michelle David & The Gospel Sessions has made to date. From reggae, to afrobeat, via Northern soul and boogaloo to their true genre: rhythm and gospel.
